TRUTH ON THE TV

You cross my life
Like a dove
That just by even flying past
Drops something on Lord Nelson’s statue
You stare your eyes
Out of your head
Wondering why the time
Is running so fast
The nightingale on the balcony
Whispered: "Romeo,
I am the lark!"
But the curtain doesn’t move
The stars you see
By looking through
A glass in the dark
Won’t tell the truth
Remember the pinafore you’ve had with five
Time, time to rearrange your life
But never take to water like the water takes to ducks
You are not the walker and the water sucks
Sgt. Pilcher made a raid
In Harisson’s flat
But Sgt. Pepper said
You’re kind of mad
The Stones were stoned
But the perjury of Pilcher threw
Himself on the floor
Of the court that counts to four
But we brake through to no side
We drink through the whole night
We loose control, loose the question to be answered
"Save our souls", we bubble through the water
Tomorrow never knows
Today keeps still about yesterday
And no one comes to show
What’s true on your TV
Never kiss a frog at a visit in the zoo
No one will believe that you tell the truth
They’ll let out the prince
And they’ll call the police
And never ever let a frog kissing you
You’ll end in a locked frog cage in the zoo
Never bite a dog that only barks
Without a place to bury it
Never like the fog at urgent drives
Without a place for your grave
Remember the pinafore you’ve had with five
Time, time to rearrange your life
But never take to water like the water takes to ducks
You are not the walker and the water sucks
In front of a painting from the ocean
The wise owl speaks to the wolf
"Look at the water, see the motion
Let yourself be involved
Listen to the waves
If you close your eyes
You can see the future
You can melt times"
But he doesn’t do that
And he looks to the death
And he blows his head
With a single breath
"But never until a fish will talk
You’ll bring the sun into the dark"
Says the frog to the burned out bulb
And he kisses the fish
But the fish is a shark
And a shark’s kiss is gulp
So never, never, never kiss a shark
Never sell a wolf a peace of chalk
Never, never do such things
Your mother doesn’t like high jinks
Tomorrow never knows
Today keeps still about yesterday
And no one comes to show
The truth on your TV...
